Educators continually improve their practice by learning from and with others and exploring proven and promising practices that leverage technology to improve student learning. Educators:

• Set professional learning goals to apply teaching practices made possible by technology, explore promising innovations, and reflect on their effectiveness.

• Pursue professional interests by creating and actively participating in local and global learning networks.

• Stay current with research that supports improved student learning outcomes, including findings from the learning sciences.

The Google Fundamentals Training (units 1-4) is a program I went through in order to expand my knowledge of different Google tools, including ones specifically made for education that are of free access to educators like Google Classroom. It covers Google Docs, Slides, Forums, Sheets and many others and also talks about technology and programs outside of Google like YouTube. It also provides resources like the Google Educators Group (GEG) that can link teachers around the world or in your local region together to learn new things, share lesson plan ideas, and assist others with incorporating technology into the classroom effectively.
